From a desire to minister and teach the bible to our friends and family in the Marinette area, our church began as a home Bible study in November of 2014 under the supervision of the Pastor and church of First Bible Baptist Church in Green Bay Wisconsin. In April of 2015 the group of believers were formed into a church under the leadership of Pastor Harley Keck of Green Bay. After several years of study under pastor Keck, Hank Matthews was installed as the Pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Marinette (June 2019).
Pastor Matthews and his wife Bonnie have served multiple churches in various ministries (Bus Ministry, Jr Church, Sunday School teacher, Choir Director, Deacon). Pastor Matthews studied at Puget Sound Bible Institute under the leadership of Pastor Al Hughes and received Bachelors degree from Virginia Baptist College under the leadership of East Coast Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Brother Matthews also served as Assistant under Pastor Harley Keck in Green Bay Wisconsin.
Pastor Matthews and his wife Bonnie have seven children and four grand children who live in the Marinette area.
